To get your SPSV license and to be able to drive as a taxi driver for our company you need to do the following:
- Call to the Garda Siochana Office, Unit 2, Lisbaun Business Park, Tuam Road, Galway for a SPSV Licence Application form or ring 091 768005 and a copy of the licence application will be forwarded to you directly.
- If you do not have an Irish or international driving licence please go to the Galway Motor Tax Office and apply for a change to above named driving licence.
- You need a Garda Clearance from the Garda Station. You need to go to your local Clifden Garda Station, tell them you need a Garda license for an SPSV license. The Gardai will then take your name and apply for Garda clearance for you. They will notify you when this will be back to you in the Garda Station.
- You also will need a Garda clearance from your birth country, if not Irish born.
- You also will need a Tax Clearance Certificate. Please call into the Galway Tax Office or if you are in Clifden our office on main street and ask us for this clearance form. If you complete there and then we can forward to the Galway Tax Office on your behalf. It can take up to 10 working day’s to get your Certificate of Tax Clearance back.
All other documentation that will have to accompany the SPSV application form will be specified on same as
above.
